Site Inspection --- Field Trips 1. Provide a knowledgeable person at the drilling site to follow performance of critical stages of the drilling, testing, completion, equipping, and production stages of the venture, and to report on progress and significant events. Example: Verify that production engineering is sufficient to allow maximum production of oil and gas 2. Provide a highly experienced person to visit the physical site of existing or proposed wells to inventory, photograph, gauge production, and to personally examine all physical aspects of the site and its improvements. Example: Determine if an existing well site is secured with locks, gates, and other protective devices. Review equipment and location for industry accepted safety practices. 3. Provide a petroleum professional to interview, if appropriate, land owners, present or past investors, local vendors, and service companies to determine the promoter's payment and operating practices. Example: Verify the promoter's record in regard to discharge of obligations and vendor payment. Determine whether land owners respect the way the promoter does business. 4. Provide an oil and gas professional to analyze records and statements in the offices of the promoter and in offices of suppliers and/or gatherers (those companies that purchase oil and gas from the project) for accuracy in charges, payments, and division of payments from oil and/or gas income.
